Merry Christmas, Ya Filthy Animal

Dear Reader(s),

Thank you for making this the best year ever for us *(me) over here at DomerInDC! Your record levels of readership have inspired and encouraged me to continue providing quality content. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

Last year’s gingerbread men led to a heated fight betwixt myself and certain siblings over which LaFayette was better: Brian Wiles from Turn or Daveed Diggs from the cast of Hamilton. Brian Wiles is bottom left because dammit I said so.

Some things that took me by surprise this year was the relative abundance of Charles Willson Peale things, from the Curious Revolutionaries exhibit to the conference on Art of Revolutions. In general, actually, the way that colonial and Revolutionary era history sort of took over was not necessarily a surprise (living in Philadelphia now and all…) but an interesting change and really fun. If there’s anything you want to see more of (books, places, people, miscellany), leave a comment. I always enjoy feedback of any sort.

My goal of producing two quality posts per month was more-or-less achieved. I hope to continue this trend in the New Year because it was a pretty good thing. You’ll only get one post this December because there’s too much Life happening for me to keep up, but I hope you spend time with your friends and family in the coming weeks as we prepare for another run around the sun.

Here’s to a happy and healthy 2018!
